Our 2023-2024 AWANA year has kicked off, and we are so thankful for what God is doing this year. So many children have come to learn about God, His Word and His ways - having a great time with other kids as well!

We have several opportunities to serve The King in AWANA, including:

Listeners: We could use someone or a couple of someones who would be willing to sit and help as small group of kids learn Bible verses. Is that You?

Helpers: We need help at the welcome and registration table. We could also use help in general to assist the children in basic need, such as helping with scraped knees and calling parents in the occurrence of sickness or monitoring the halls, or helping when they need special attention. Could that be you?

Treat Suppliers: About five times throughout the AWANA year, we have a special night that involves a special snack. We could use some assistance making treats (such as popcorn or cookies).

Big Group Teacher. Would you be willing to give a 5 - 10 minute lesson for the large group?

Substitute: Would you be willing to fill in if one of our leaders is not feeling well? Can we call on you?

A typical AWANA night follows this basic order of activities:

• We begin with welcome and pledges

• Followed by game time

• Then we proceed to book time (where the kids say the verses they have committed to memory).

• We then have a time of praise music and then wrap up with teaching time, where the kids can learn how to apply God’s Word to their lives
